We home-educate our 1-year-old son, our 10-year-old daughter and occasionally our eldest, who is 14. We started home-educating when we realised schools don't seem to teach real skills and knowledge useful for adult life, or in a way that is exciting, memorable and fulfilling.

Travel became part of how our children learn. Ports, cities and a few days at sea teach things a textbook can't. What we kept missing was other home ed families to share it with.
